ROOF PROOF™ is developed as waterproofing agent that can be used on:

• PVC Pipes;

• Sky-Lights;

• Screw Tops;

• Box Gutters;

• All Gutters;

• Garden Ponds;

• Parapet Walls;

• Water Features;

• New Timber Roofs;

• Fibre-Cement Roofs;

• Polycarbonate Sheets;

• Caravan Pop-up Roofs;

• Galvanized Iron Roofs;

• Expansion Joints and Flashings;

• New concrete Roofs, after full curing of concrete;

• Roofs previously treated with Asphalt, Malthoid or similar combination Roof Coverings.

1. Apply one coat of ROOF PROOF™ diluted with 20% water, to penetrate and saturate the Polyester fabric surface. Allow the application to dry thoroughly before proceeding;

2. Finally apply two coats of ROOF PROOF™ as supplied, allowing to dry between coats;

3. Apply one coat of ROOF PROOF™ as supplied to an area not exceeding one metre by the width of the Polyester fabric used (Bidim) and firmly press the fabric into the coating, before the ROOF PROOF™ coating begins to dry;

4. Repeat the process in one metre length at a time. Allow the coating to dry before proceeding. If the Polyester fabric becomes rain saturated, allow to dry out completely over an extended period before proceeding with the application process;

1. Apply to the substrate one primer/sealer coat of ROOF PROOF™ and allow to dry;

2. Apply two coats (as supplied) of ROOF PROOF™ after prime coat;

3. Repeat the process. Allow the coating to dry before proceeding.

• Screeding to be inspected and made good if necessary;

• Scrape off loose materials and sweep clean;

• Apply standard application procedure 1-3 above.

• Remove all loose material, clean out and fill cracks;

• Wash and brush down roof to clean surface;

• Apply standard application procedure 1-3 above.

• Clean down by wire brushing, treat where necessary with anti-fungal wash. Allow to dry and remove dust;

• Treat screw heads by priming with Etch Primer;

• Treat cracks by priming with one coat ROOF PROOF™, diluted with 20% water. Allow to dry

• Apply one coat ROOF PROOF™ as supplied;

• Apply to entire roof, including patched-up area, one coat of ROOF PROOF™ diluted with 20% water. Allow to dry;

• Apply one final coat of ROOF PROOF™ as supplied.

• Treat screw heads by priming with Etch Primer;

• Treat minor holes by applying one coat ROOF PROOF™ as supplied;

• Press into the coating a suitable patch of Polyester fabric before the coating dries;

• Apply to the entire area, including patches, two coats of ROOF PROOF™ as supplied, allowing to dry between coats.

• Ensure that the timber is completely dry;

• Apply standard application procedure 1-3 above.

• Ensure that the timber is completely dry;

• Apply standard application procedure 1-3 above.

• Clean out joints thoroughly;

• Lay along joints rubber tubing slightly larger than the expansion gap at its seasonal maximum;

• Apply standard application procedure 1-4 above, followed by a second application as described in standard application with membrane.

• The ambient temperature must be between 5ºC and 35ºC and humidity between 10% and 85%;

• Do not paint too early as the wall may still be damp - paint only when the walls are dry;

• Do not paint in too hot weather, rather paint early morning and after lunch, the slower the ROOF PROOF™ dries, the longer it lasts;

• Excessive application thickness and/or rapid drying could lead to cracking;

• Avoid applying under adverse weather conditions as this could result in poor product performance;

• Excessively friable surfaces should be cleaned down prior to primer application;

• Store away from Direct Sun, Heat and Severe Cold.

• It is advisable to wear gloves as ROOF PROOF™ is difficult to remove from skin;

• Always keep out of reach of children and animals;

• Do not take in orally - harmful if swallowed. Seek medical attention and do not induce vomiting;

• If accidental contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water or a good quality skin cleaner;

• If accidental contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice;

• Wear a respirator if the area being painted cannot be adequately ventilated, and work for short periods only;

• Ventilate the area to be painted, opening all doors and windows and using fans during application and drying;

• Protect floors with cloth Drop Cloths, not plastic, which is far more slippery;

• Do not paint or store paint near any heat source such as a water heater or fireplace, and never smoke while painting;

• Make sure your ladder is in good shape. Set the legs on an even surface and lock the cross braces. Do not stand on the top of the ladder nor on the utility shelf. If you are having difficulty reaching a spot, get down from the ladder and move it rather than leaning out;

• Clean up carefully and thoroughly when you are done for the day;

• If rags have alkyd paint or thinner on them, leave them to dry outside to avoid any chance of spontaneous combustion;

• Choose an area inaccessible to children and pets, and when they are thoroughly dry, take them to a toxic-waste dump site.

Different surfaces and environmental conditions require specific painting systems to produce the best possible results - It is, therefore, recommended that you contact a representative from Classic Paints for advice on all your painting requirements, whenever possible.
